environment is vCD 5.1 with all the latest updates as of right now (not including 5.5).
Have a couple of vms that we have upgraded the vm tools (version 9216), then checked into the catalog. At that point it recognizes that tools is installed. Then after consolidation, it no longer sees that tools is installed. This creates a problem when deploying because it disables guest customization. The workaround is power it on, and off and it then recognizes vm tools and then allow guest customization but that severely slows down the provisioning process.
This is not happening on all vms with that version tools though.
Ideas? Is there a flag we can change in the database for that specific catalog?
