Re: Recover an original VM/vmdk from Shadow VM in vCloud Director 5.1

Thanks for your answer, that were my thoughts, its gone.

The VM is in a vApp Template and the vmdk was deleted (its in a Test Environment, not productive ;-). When i have a look at the Template in the Catalog (in vCD) the original (parent) VM is present, but with a 4MB Harddisk in the Properties. The vSphere Client also shows a Harddrive, but when i'm looking on the Datastore (via SSH) the vmdk is not found, also not an other Datastores. Because we are using fast provisioning some (i think all, i've not inspected all, but all are running and should have chain length >1) provisioned vApps are on another LUN, there is a shadow VM (shown in the vCD in the Shadow VMs Tab) and this vmdk is present (full provisioned). So my idea was to take/copy or something else this shadow vmdk to restore the original vmdk.
