We (myself and the OP) were able to resolve the 4GB ISO upload issue. The problem we were having was actually due to the NFS mount that was causing the timeout. Not sure why because we were able to manually copy files onto the NFS mount beyond the 4GB mark within the vCloud Director cell with no problems. VMware Support wasn't able to figure out what was causing the problem as well. So after trying everything we possibly could think of that would cause the problem, we decided to try upgrading the OS for the NFS server to the latest build, which was an Open-E DSS V7 VM, thinking that it wouldn't matter. And then, "volia!" We were able to upload beyond the 4GB without any timeouts. Hopefully, this helps.
