I found the testing functionality. From hostA to hostB, I can do the minimum ping, but the VXLAN standard fails. When I try to ping from hostB to hostA, I get this error: "The VMKPing fault, [ Failed to set SO_NEXTHOP '172.16.80.1': Invalid argument]." Also, the broadcast fails as well. So, perhaps it's Multicast/IGMP? The hosts have multiple NICs and are connected to Cisco 2960G's (I believe). I doubt we ever explicitly set up IGMP, and I don't think it's enabled by default. I can look into that. Any gotchas for setting it up for VMware? I have CCNA-level knowledge, but no experience with multicast/IGMP.
