In our vCD environment we have our vApp templates configured with fenced networking, this because the software installed requires that hostname and mac address to not change.
Today our users cannot reach their VMs via RDP or other mean, just via the vCloud Console.
My plan is to change this by assigning a routed subnet to the edge device which the organization network connects to. No DHCP or NAT would be used here. IPs are assigned from the pool. I want to have the edge device there to utilize firewalling.
From the simple tests I have made, "External IP" to the VM is only assigned if NAT is active. I have no lab setup to test if the above works or not but my goal is to be able to connect to the fenced VM from an external network. Would this work via the "Internal IP" ?
