Thanks for the help. How do you handle that if the your portal crashes before resetting the default startup action to none?

Or the portal sets the value to some non meaningful string such as kuku, and if the portal crashes and is restarted and notices

the meaningless startup action reverts it to none, before executing any actions such as vapp poweron?
