Re: how to remove local disk from storage profile

You should create Storage Profiles for the datastores that you want to use.

First, assign user-defined storage capability:

1. Home -> Inventory -> Datastores and Datastore Clusters
2. R.Click the datastore you wish to use -> Assign User-Defined Storage Capability
3. Click New... and set a Name and Description
4. Repeat for all datastores you want to include in the PVDC

Second, create VM Storage Profiles

1. Home -> Management -> VM Storage Profiles
2. Create a VM Storage Profile
3. Name and assign the Storage Capabilities from the user-defined list you just created
4. IMPORTANT: Enable the VM Storage Profile (buttons at the top of the window)

Thrid, refresh storage profiles in VCD

1. Manage and Monitor -> vCenters
2. r.click vCenter and Refresh Storage Profiles (might take a couple minutes)

Fourth, edit PVDC

1. Manage and Monitor -> Provider VDCs -> Open your PVDC
2. Storage Profiles tab
3. Add new Storage Profile
4. Remove the *Any Storage Profile (r.click disable then remove)
